Welcome to The Hope Summit 2024!

The Hope Summit is an annual conference and festival held in Charleston at the end of September to highlight multidisciplinary and intersectional challenges facing our world and celebrate community-driven solutions that create agency and hope for communities worldwide to adapt for a bright, regenerative, equitable future.

We believe that to heal our world, and ourselves in the process, we must see ourselves as a part of the natural world, not apart from it. We must reframe our understanding of community to embrace its ecological definition of all interconnected life that sustains and regenerates itself within a shared locality.

In 2024, The Hope Summit will explore how we can reshape our relationship with water, waterways, and the ocean through community-driven solutions. We live on a blue planet, one that is defined by and shaped by water. No matter where we live, we are connected to the ocean. Through a systems-based understanding of the world, we can uplift and empower local leaders and traditional ecosystem managers to restore and steward their lands, wetlands, rivers, estuaries, islands, and oceans. By understanding and working with the natural systems that connect us, we can adapt to a changing climate, protect and restore key ecosystems, halt biodiversity loss, and promote a regenerative and equitable future for communities worldwide.

The Hope Summit 2024 organizers invite leaders and solutions practitioners from all walks of life, disciplines, and stages of their professional journey to join us in Charleston from September 28th to October 1st to cultivate ideas, accelerate solutions, and inspire hope for the future of our communities and the future of our planet.
